Reservations / Store Clerk

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides knowledgeable, friendly customer service.

Includes the following plus other related duties as assigned.

  1. Take reservations in polite and friendly manner
  2. Answer telephones in a professional manner using proper telephone etiquette
  3. Check people out with store merchandise
  4. Keep office area neat and organized
  5. Keep store shelves stocked and clean
  6. Sweep and Mop office area every day
  7. Answer emails every day in a professional manner
  8. Check customers in and out on camp sites
  9. Keep pop coolers stocked and clean
  10. Help out in the restaurant if needed
  11. Help in other areas if needed
  12. Prepare welcome packets
  13. Answer questions and give directions to custoemrs
  14. Book rafting packages, caddie shak tickets for customers
  15. Book birthday parties and group tours
  16. Be able to give directions to other attraxtions
  17. Check answering machine for messages and provide call backs if needed
  18. Run check-in reports
  19. Run check-out reports
  20. Set up cleaning sheets daily
  21. Open and close game room
  22. Wear uniforms at all times
  23. Fill out all forms properly

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience is helpful.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, activity schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with all types of customers in a professional manner.
